Benvrackie

At 841 metres high, Ben Vrackie is one of the best known Corbetts and sits overlooking the town of Pitlochry. There are stunning views across Pitlochry with "The Ben" as a backdrop and whatever the time of year looks spectacular. A walk to the summit can be started in the village of Moulin, there a small car park at Moulin close to the path and another larger one just prior to this. The walk up to the summit and back down is approx 10km depending on where you start. A winding path will lead you across heather moorland giving you a first glimpse of the summit, it will lead you to Loch a' Choire where you can start your ascent up the well made steep path which climbs the side of Ben Vrackie.

Upon reaching the summit you will come across a marker which allows you to work out what you are looking at. Now you can start the descent back down the path or if you prefer there is a slightly longer route around the loch. Look out for the Red grouse and red deer which live on the hillside.
